What’s up with the Traffic??
Contributing Factors Increase in drop-offs during inclement weather Long wait to make turns out of the parking lot Potential Improvements Encourage continued bus riding & walking during inclement weather (how can we do this effectively?) Extend Traffic Light Timing (in process) Drop off child earlier – time has been extended to begin at 8:50am Over the last several weeks, there has been significant traffic in and around the school parking lot during peak drop-off and pick-up times -- especially on days with inclement weather. As the school works through various options to help improve this, it was noted that extending the timing of the traffic lights at Arrowhead Drive and Juanita Drive during these peak periods would allow more cars to move in, through, and out of the parking lot.
20
Safety Update School Perimeter New fencing & repairs
South gate now locked daily (8:45AM to 4:00 PM) Drop-off & Pick Up Traffic flow concerns (see above slide) Blue Lines Keep clear reminders E-Prep Additional flashlights Battery dry storage
