Social Studies With Ms. Hall This Week Students have been very busy researching a climate zone of their choice for the Eastern Hemisphere. They chose their partner or had the option of working alone if they felt more comfortable. They had to decide which of the eight climate zones; ice cap, tundra, highlands, humid subtropical, Mediterranean, arid, semiarid, or tropical. Their completed project must contain the zone’s climate, characteristics, location in the Eastern Hemisphere, animals, vegetation, the impact humans have had on the area, and any other interesting facts they find. They have been using the computer lab to research their area. Their final project can be a PowerPoint, diorama, or a poster. Next Week There will be a short quiz on Tuesday. Information they need to study are: latitude, longitude and scale mapping. Students will also continue working on their projects.
