Income: The GUARD created $161.1 million in income for Rhode Island households. Employment: The GUARD supported 4,708 jobs in Rhode Island: 851 direct full-time equivalent Soldiers and Airmen and 2,347 traditional part-time Guard Soldiers and Airmen Supports an additional 1,510 indirect and induced full-time equivalent jobs throughout the state. Output: The GUARD supported the creation of $307.7 million in output in Rhode Island The GUARD generated $15 million in tax revenues for the local and state governments in Rhode Island. $6 million in property taxes $3.9 million in sales taxes $3 million in personal income taxes $934,000 in corporate taxes $172,000 thousand in motor vehicles licenses, and $912,000 in other taxes and fees collected by the local and state governments UNCLASSIFIED
