1. Macromedia Fireworks
Stop frame animation

2. Open a new document in Fireworks
Set the Canvas size and background colour

3. Select the ellipse tool
Draw an ellipse on the canvas

4. Open the frames panel

5. Duplicate the frame

6. Move the ellipse a small amount

7. Continue Duplicating the frames

8. Move the ellipse a small amount

9. Continue Duplicating the frames
Move the ellipse a small amount, the smaller the movement the smoother the resulting animation.

10. Distort the ball so it appears to bounce

11. Continue duplicating frames
Until your ball reaches the top of the frame. Distort the ball again if you wish.

12. Test the animation in Fireworks
Use the play button

13. Save your animation as an animated Gif

14. The final product inserted as an animated Gif
