Custom Programs Separate CUSTOM rebate application is required
Preapproval typically takes less than 10 business days and is REQUIRED before equipment is purchased or installed The customer may incur engineering costs prior to our preapproval date to identify implementation alternatives. The customer must notify Xcel Energy of these costs prior to our preapproval analysis so we can include the itemized costs in our analysis.

Custom Programs Preapproval letter will outline energy savings and rebate amount Will also include time frame for implementation – typically 24 months If project scope changes it may require reanalysis Rebate amounts vary with the project’s energy savings. But the more energy your project saves, the more rebate dollars you earn – up to $400 per kilowatt (KW) of electricity and $4 per dekatherm (Dth) of gas saved.
