Graduate of Rider University Teaching twenty-four years in the district Taught Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd grades Have three children, Valerie, John, Kelly Love reading, traveling, spending time with family, being active and teaching!

Purpose of Morning Meeting
SOCIAL Children feel valued. They learn proper greetings and communication techniques. We share in the triumphs and fears of those in our classroom community. ACADEMIC Learn memory techniques. Review concepts learned in previous lessons. Introduced to new concepts and lessons.

Birthdays Due to dietary restrictions and many students with allergies, Richboro Elementary is treat free this year. We still would love to sing and celebrate in our room! Feel free to send in or even donate a birthday book with your son/daughter to read to the class on their special day.

Report Cards Standards based report card
Second Grade DOES NOT get a report card the first marking period. We will discuss your son/daughter’s progress during conferences in November. ALL report cards will be viewed online through HAC. We will NOT send home a paper copy this year.

Math and Reading Log work each night
Homework What to expect? Math and Reading Log work each night Maximum 20 minutes per night Practice and Extension of day’s learning Please complete in pencil and print Not worth tears! Jot me a note or Please check and sign the homework book each night. It’s also great place to jot a quick note. Reading Log- will need parent support, please monitor and return on Fridays. Addresses the weekly; comprehension, fluency, and phonics skill

Large Group/Small Group/Individual Hands-on, Student-centered Homework Book for the entire year- Please cover with clear contact paper! If the lesson ends in a letter, there is a separate sheet for homework. Ex. 16-2A Finished Early- Enrichment through Pearson website, First in Math and Untangling the Math Web (link on my website #29) I always send an OPTIONAL study guide before the test. This sheet will review all concepts on the test. LogIn and password for envision are given to you today and First in Math is coming soon!
