Boston was founded in September 1630 by Puritains (the puritains were a group of English-speaking Protestants in the 16th and 17th century.

8. Algonquian Indians occupied the region of Boston before the arrival of the whites. They fought the Iroquois for the control of fur.
They tied links with the Frenchmen in XVII century. The Reverend William Blackstone arrived in 1629 with the first English settlers.
