The post office is so old, it’s older than a kid. Even the post office is older than a parent. Did you know that the post office opened up in 1906?

3. What did the post office send?
The post office posted parcels, letters and money orders.

4. When was the mail delivered by car?
In 1967 mail was at last delivered by car along the road from Brisbane to Kingaroy and delivery was much faster. Before that it was delivered by horse and cart and put on the train.

5. When did the town get its name?
The town didn`t get it`s name Blackbutt until Mail delivery started in the late 1800s.
