Introduction The Prevention of Blindness Trust was established in July, 2007 as a leading volunteer eye care organization with the sole mission of preventing blindness and preserving sight. The POB Trust endeavors to develop strategies for prevention and control of blindness and visual impairment. The prime objective of The POB Trust is to promote and sustain a global campaign against all forms of avoidable blindness with emphasis on deprived communities.

Objective / Vision / Mission
To provide free of cost, state of the art eye care services in the remote and deprived areas. To make arrangements for prevention, education and treatment of the eye diseases. To establish tertiary eye care institutes for the treatment of major eye diseases, professional training and research work in the field of Ophthalmology. To organize, arrange and manage refresher courses with latest medical advancements for the eye specialists of various categories. Vision / Mission: A World in which on one is needlessly blind and where those with unavoidable blindness can achieve the full potential of life.
