Client: Shycast Objective: Given the rise in user-generated content, IKEA wanted to create an environment were users could share their knowledge in hopes to win a prize. Mechanics: Entrants entered online by visiting and uploading a video that shows an entertaining bed-making technique that showcased their individual decorative style . Entrants had to personally appear in the video at some point. Submitted videos were posted on the Contest Website after they were screened by Sponsor. All eligible entries were posted on the Contest Website and visitors to the Contest Website had the opportunity to rate each video with a score between one (1) and five (5), one (1) being the lowest score and five (5) being the highest score. Prize: Grand Prize: A $5,000 shopping spree to IKEA, awarded in the form of IKEA Gift Cards. Five First Prizes: A $500 IKEA Gift Card.
