The Cross BOOT CAMP: Taught By: Prophetess Felicia Parramore

2 Boot Camp: The CROSS Mark And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s the same shall save it. Mark 8:34-38 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said “Whoever wants to be a disciple must deny themselves and take up their CROSS and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it , but whoever loses their life for Me and for the Gospel will save it.

3 Boot Camp: The CROSS Mark For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his father with the holy angels. (KJV) Mark 8:34-38 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son Of Man will be ashamed of them, when He comes in his Father’s Glory with the holy angels.” (NIV)

4 What is the meaning of the “CROSS”
A Crucifix on the wall of a Church In Contemporary Christianity the “CROSS” is a symbol of the atonement and reminds Christians of God’s Love in Sacrificing His own Son.

But rejoice in as much as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ , you are blessed , for the Spirit of Glory and of God rests on you.

8 Boot Camp: The CROSS 1 Peter 4:12-19 If you suffer, is should not be as a murderer or a thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, If you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. For it is time for judgement to begin with God’s Household, and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God.

9 Boot Camp: The CROSS 1 Peter 4:12-19 And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

26 Prepare Your Hearts For Communion
1 Corinthians 11:23-32 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

27 Prepare Your Hearts For Communion
So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment. Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.
