PM2.5 more important than O3 for mortality
Proposed set-up EMAC model (ECHAM5/MESSY 2.52) simulation T63L31 (~1.8x1.8) or T106L31 (~1.1x1.1) resolution (no stratosphere) GmXe aerosols submodel + ISORROPIA (for thermodynamics) Simple (MIM1) gas phase chemistry Reference + (2) Scenarios PM2.5 more important than O3 for mortality

NO SIMULATIONS PERFORMED UNTIL NOW
A bit more technical... SCENARIOS: 1) Reference (REF): EDGAR v4.3 data represent our best estimate of the development of emissions (activity levels, emission factors, technology) for 2) Stagnation of fuel consumption (STAG_FUEL): the activity data (fuel consumption and mix) are worldwide kept constant at 1970 levels (for the power and non-power industry and for road transport), while emission factors vary over time and End-of-Pipe measures are installed as in the REF scenario. This scenario is expected to provide the lowest emissions and illustrates how much of the emission reductions achieved in 2010 is off-set by higher fuel consumption. 3) Stagnation of technology (STAG_TECH): no further EoP measures are implemented since 1970 in Europe for the power generation and road transport sectors. Emission factors (EF) of 1970 are projected in 2010 for power and non-power industry and road transport for the entire world. I got the data ~ 1 month ago the BC emissions of the PEGASOS scenarios (a) without End-of-Pipe and (b) without End-of-Pipe and 1970 old emission factors To be consistent we should perform coherent simulations with all the emissions from the same scenario (plus REFERENCE!). NO SIMULATIONS PERFORMED UNTIL NOW
