Learning /mastery of format features of unbound reports with textual citations. The Setting for Standard Margins for a unbound report The Setting for Internal Spacing for a unbound report The Setting for Page numbers, textual (within text) citations for a unbound report Reference List for a unbound report

Unbound Reports Short reports generally prepared without covers or binders Unbound reports that consist of 2 or more pages are fastened together in the upper-left corner by a staple/paper clip.

Standard Margins First Page: Second Page
Side Margins (Right & Left): 1 inch Top Margin: 2” Bottom margin: about 1 inch Page number: optional Second Page Top Margin: 1” Page number: top; right-aligned

Internal Spacing Quadruple space (QS) is left between the report and title and the first line of the body. Multiple line titles are Double Space (DS) DS above and below side headings and between paragraphs. Paragraphs may be SS or DS. DS for the class reports/

Page Numbers First Page: Page number is optional
Second Page and subsequent pages (following pages) pages are right-aligned.

Textual (Within Text) Citations
Textual citations- References used to give Credit for quoted or paraphrased material. Keyed in parentheses in the body of the report. Textual citations include: Name (s) of the author (s) Year of publication And page number (s) of the reference material

Textual (Within Text) Citations
Quotations of up to three keyed lines are enclosed in quotations marks “Hi”. Long quotations: Textual (Within Text) Citations Ellipsis (. . .)-three periods (space between each period) that indicates material omitted from a quotation.

Reference List All reference used in a report are listed on a separate page under the heading REFERENCES. Quadruple Space-4 (QS) between the heading and the first reference. Listed in alphabetical order by authors last names. Single Space (SS) each reference. Begin first line of each reference at left margins and indent other lines 0.5”
