2. The cover for my project shows a girl with American traditional features such as her hair and the flower.
American Traditional or “Old School” is an old and original form of tattooing and drawing. Tattoo Flash is a giant paper or booklet filled with drawings in American or Neo(newer version) Traditional style. Here are some of my favorite things in this style of art.
I apologize for the black spaces.

Here I drew a picture of my hand and my cat, Ozzie’s paw. This shows my love for any animal and the bonds I have and make with them. I’m an animal activist and I plan on going VEGAN, including everything and not just food.
The flower and simplicity of these drawings shows the majority of American Traditional, although some of my drawings have Neo-Traditional colors. Neo-Traditional is another form of drawing in tattooing. Very similar to American Traditional but using more variety and more vibrant colors.

I drew a girl inspired by an outfit I’m seeing becoming popular. I love clothes and this is definitely something I would wear. Cropped shirt and shorts with fishnets. She is in a Pin-Up style with flowers around her which is very commonly used in tattoo flash.
I know it’s not the best but oh well :)

I drew a girl with body modification because that’s something I love. Your body is a canvas so decorate it. Color your hair. Get tattoos. Get piercings. Get surgery. Do whatever makes you happy. You and your body mods are art.
Here is another Pin-Up, up close and dressed in a simple blouse and skirt, often worn in the 50’s. Her hairstyle is also in Neo-Tradtional 50’s.

6. I love art. I always have and always will
I love art. I always have and always will. It’s basically what my world revolves around. Although I mostly draw, I love to paint. I thought it would be more satisfying to use a paintbrush instead of a pencil going through the heart.
This drawing was heavily inspired by many popular American Traditional drawings and tattoos that look like this. Usually it’s a dagger going through the heart and other times, going through a rose.

7. Music also plays a huge part in my life
Music also plays a huge part in my life. I have such a wide variety of music tastes and that means I never get bored. I always find new music to listen to and I support everyone.I also attend many concerts and festivals. From Justin Bieber to Cane Hill. From Glass Animals to The XX. From Lana Del Rey to Arctic Monkeys. From my dad’s mixes to my mom’s old rock. 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s.
Here is a commonly used Sparrow bird and rose in American traditional. They are often holding something in their beak so I drew headphones.

8. It says “GORE” not Core.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved gore. The human body, especially from the inside. I have always been fascinated with blood and guts. I have always loved scary movies. Horror. Gorey. Unsettling. Funny thing is I have many fears (mostly dumb ones) but I love being scared, only if I know nothing bad will happen. I love seeing bones and missing parts. I love hearing stories about it just because it’s crazy the human body can be that way and I love serial killers because it’s crazy someone can do such things to another being.
Here is a simple coloring in an old school position and some simple old school flowers.
I promise I’m not mentally disturbed. :)

9. I love makeup. It’s just another form of art and decorating your body
I love makeup. It’s just another form of art and decorating your body. You can do so much! You can make yourself look completely different, pretty, scary, something unhuman-like, or simple. There’s so much that goes into it. There are all kinds of forms of makeup. There are many ways to learn and teach others to do it and people can bond over that. I only buy VEGAN and Cruelty Free makeup and makeup products because of my love for animals. I also encourage others to do the same.
Here is a very simple, but commonly used model of lipstick and a flower in a heart. There are many ways this is drawn and it’s used in both American and Neo-Traditional drawings and tattoos.

10. I’m a kid at heart and I grew up on tv. I love cartoons
I’m a kid at heart and I grew up on tv. I love cartoons. I could watch cartoons all day. I love sitcoms, as well. It’s something that means a lot to me because I have been so inspired to draw the cartoons I watch and improve my skills at a young age and I even began my own style. I spent most of my life watching Disney and Cartoon Network and some Nickelodeon. I grew up watching whatever my older cousins watched which included 90’s shows and the early 2000’s.
Here I drew an old school TV with some old school flowers. This drawing was heavily inspired by one I saw online. It was exactly what I was looking for. The screen looks like that because I didn’t want to put one show specifically on the screen.

11. I love nails. I guess this would be considered a body modification but I’m not sure. Anyway, my favorite types of nails are acrylic stiletto or “witch” nails. People also say “pointy” or “claws”. I always get my done this way. I love dark colors so I’ve definitely had black before. They were gorgeous. They just complete any look and make you so much more confident, just like any other body mod and makeup.
Here I drew a hand holding the universal peace sign showing off the nails, in simple colors which is used in old school’s color pallet. I also drew an American Tradition rose.

12. Of course I wouldn’t be me without any of these things but let’s not forget the people who were with me before I even became me. My family and friends mean everything to me. I love them so much. I am close with all sides of my family and I try to see my friends as much as possible. We all do everything together.
Here I drew the classic banner around a heart which is commonly used in both American and Neo-Traditional art and tattoos. It can be done many different ways and I just decided to put flowers inside to show the pureness and beauty and the love I have for my friends and family.
