The worst that will happen is your student will not be understood.

Students should avoid online translators and over use of dictionaries.
Students should do Spanish homework in Spanish
Do not translate unless part of the assignment.
This will save time and energy.
Students should stick to the vocabulary you know and do not worry about vocabulary you do not know.
