This week…
We have had a great first week back and have enjoyed sharing our half-term news with all our friends. We have been learning to talk about what we are going to write before recording it and using full-sentences. We are getting more confident in using our ‘Fred fingers’ and are also trying to use a capital letter, finger spaces and a full-stop to create our sentences. In our maths learning we have been exploring money. We have gone on a coin hunt outside and ordered coins in their value from smallest to biggest. We have also been making different amounts with coins to buy our favourite item from Dosbarth Derbyn’s shop. We have had great fun today celebrating ‘Dough disco’ International day. We have made our own playdough this week with our friends and used it today to carry out our Dough Disco celebrations! We have brought our own playdough home so you can join in our disco with us!
Reminders
Sports day-
Sports will be held at the school on Thursday 15th June at 9:30am. Please ensure your child has a PE kit and sensible trainers to participate and is wearing their house team colour t-shirt (if not a plain white t-shirt is perfect). Your child has been sent home with a letter telling you what colour house they are in just in case you have misplaced previous letters. We invite all parents and families to come and watch the children on the day and help encourage them during their games. We look forward to seeing you all!
Book bags-
Could all books bags be brought in on a Thursday as books need to be changed ready for Friday reading.
