Annotation:
ZTS VVU KOSICE a.s. is a private joint-stock company operating in the field of machine engineering and electrotechnical products. The company started the research and development of a new generation of robots in the beginning of the 80s in the last century. From that moment it became the pioneer company in the field of heavy duty hydraulic robots, teleoperators and robotic carriages for in-plant transport (AGV) in Slovakia. In the following period the company extended its activities into the field of very sophisticated robots for nuclear power industry and robots for military and police use, and also supplied precise robotic cryodipols positioning equipment to CERN.

The category which passing through the turbulent development of heavy manipulators for rolling chassis designed for metallurgical industry with teleoperator MT-15 "Terrier" on the tracked deployed at nuclear power plant Jaslovske Bohunice as reconnaissance instrument of the first hit is able to analyze the type and level of contamination and to carry out operations which are necessary for emergency elimination. The newest addition to the family - cell miniteleoperator "Scorpio" with a height of only 125 mm, able to use a water cannon and destroy explosive devices placed on the chassis and the lowest passenger cars. For the first time, the "Scorpio" was immediately and successfully deployed to ensure the Bush-Putin summit in Bratislava, where its original design aroused the special interest by American specialists.

The mobile robot "Retriever„ was subsequently developed and designed for viewing the interior of the aircraft, trains, buses etc. to examine them in stored objects and to detect the presence of explosives. Mobile robot Retriever-TT (track and telescopic) is a modification of the original wheel robot Retriever. It is characterized by endless tracks and the second telescopic arm.

6. Robotic systems from ZTS VVÚ KOŠICE a.s
European Robotics level of ZTS VVU Kosice as confirmed as winning the 77 companies in the tender for the supply of four sets of robotic systems for accurate storage cryomagnets the LHC project for CERN Geneva. Capacity of the kit is kg, the trajectory accuracy is 0.2 mm. CERN´s satisfaction with the delivery was confirmed by ordering the fifth set. And the next award was the Golden Plaque "Golden Hadron" Kosice Institute as the best contractor at CERN in Dedication and professionalism of experts from ZTS VVU Kosice create auspicious conditions for the application of the Slovak robotic systems even in difficult areas as well as the European Union Institute for acceptance in Europe (European Robotics Platform), where it was admitted as a member of its central authority (Board of Stakeholders) and is invited to the development of European policy-making in robotics in the service and security area.
