Big Picture Climate Change and evidence Lesson Title:
Lesson Objective: To discuss the evidence for climate change

Activate 10 minutes – In groups of 4
Each person to visit an information station and gather information for the group. Everyone feeds back their information using their own coloured pen. Things to consider: Was there evidence for climate change in the 21st century? Include Data Was there evidence against climate change? Include Data. What effects were there? Why do people not believe in climate change Stretch: Which impacts of climate change will effect the UK the most?

Progress Check You have 5 minutes to share the information you have gathered As a group identify which pieces of info will meet the following criteria. The letter must have some data as examples Compare the arguments for and against climate change Give a reason why some people don’t believe in climate change The effects in 100 years.

Demonstrate 15 minutes: Use your Mark Scheme!!!
Use the information and data you have collected to write an essay in which you summarise the data that supports and disputes climate change. Use your Mark Scheme!!! Stretch: Which impact of Climate change is going to effect the UK the most. Explain its impact on your life.

Consolidate Visit one other groups work 5 MINS Use the mark scheme to give it a mark– Write down 2 www’s and 1 EBI of their work Make some corrections with green pen whilst I visit your tables.
