DRESS CODE UPDATE With effect from Monday 7 November 2016 until Friday 31 March 2017 Students are permitted to wear outerwear on arrival at school in the Atrium and during interval and lunchtime when in the building Students are permitted to put on outerwear at the end of period 2 and period 5 classes Students should remove outerwear on arrival at Registration and when in all classes

ROME 2017 There are still a few spaces left on the Rome Trip, if anyone is interested please see Miss Blake. The trip is now open to S2 pupils.

LGBT group at MYPAS This group is now active – students report back that it was really good with nice staff. The group will meet every Monday from 7-9pm at Tolbooth Hall, 176 High Street, Dalkeith.

Combining in-store experience with accredited academic learning, it’s the perfect path into retail management for smart, ambitious school leavers… following in the footsteps of many of our senior leaders. Over 12 to 18 months, you’ll experience retail in real time. Food, Fashion, Home and Store operations; managing £multi-million budgets; leading people and teams… it’s all part of the package, with loads of coaching and mentoring to keep you on track. Plus you’ll spend time working towards your Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Retail Management. By the time you’ve finished, you’ll be ready to take on the role of a Commercial Manager and responsibility for an entire department. After that, there’s no limit to where you can go. Paired Reading S1 pupils – if you are to be involved in paired reading, you will be told by your Register teacher this week. This will start on Tuesday 8 Nov and will take place during Registration on a Tuesday & Thursday in the library until Christmas.
