Holidays and religion History Germany has got some pretty dark history in the 1900s. That’s right, World War 1 and 2. I’m covering that while you can look down below For something. Anyway, you know what’s coming, Nazis. And the chancellor was Adolf Hitler. although he wanted to be a priest when he was a child, somewhere along the line, he became what he is. For some reason he wanted to make all of Europe Judenfrei. Judenfrei means free of Jews. Jews hid from Nazi Soldiers in an underground cave called the Priests Grotto. Here’s a pic This is the Priests Grotto. America defeated them with the other Allies. The Nazis wanted to take over. The main reason why they wanted to take over some places is because of their resources. They did need to feed their soldiers. some of the main holidays in Germany is the New Years and Easter. The main religion practiced are Christianity. 3 4

Sports Animals in the wild Red squirrel, garden dormouse, commen vole,
West European hedgehog, and mountain hare. There is far more than that, but the list would be way to big to put on this paper. The animals I was thinking about were all native animals. Native means its been there before anyone discovered the place. Much like native people, they have been there for years, and one day humans discovered them. Some of the famous sports in Germany are football, ice hockey, basketball, tennis, golf, and boxing. You probably know these sports, but I’m going to tell you anyway. Football, you throw that thing in to a thing that looks kind of like a U but square. Ice hockey, you get a puck Into a net. Basketball, you get a ball and throw It into a net that’s higher than you. Tennis, you get a racket and someone throws a ball and hit It with the racket. Golf, you get a club and hit The ball off the ground into a hole. Boxing, hitting each other with gloves. They don’t mean to hurt each other, but it’s a noble sport. 911? 112 is one of the emergency numbers in Germany. 112 emergency is traditionally considered as a "fire emergency" and "emergency medical assistance" number and 110 is known as the "police emergency" number in Germany.
