Sagittal, coronal, and axial contrast-enhanced T1-weighted images demonstrated a huge sellar/suprasellar mass with intraventricular extension and an intense and diffuse enhancement compressing the optic chiasm and causing obstructive hydrocephalus. (D) Preoperative axial fluid attenuated inversion recovery sequence showed diffuse signal abnormality around the tumor suggesting possible invasion of ependymal layer.

The cytoplasm is clear or amphophilic, and mitoses are inconspicuous. (Hematoxylin-eosin, ×20.) (B) S-100 immunopositivity reflects neuroectodermal differentiation. (C) Uniform CD99 immunostaining in a membranous pattern.
