PPV LANDSCAPING - 2016 Results of Bidding
Dave Brown declined – not doing condos Buckeye and EMI were too high for consideration BrightView: $71, Hidden Creek: $66,657.79 Evaluated the pros and cons. Hidden Creek had good recommendations. Brightview service this year has not been good. PPV Landscaping Community Meeting – September 19, 2016

Started in 1998, locally owned. Key personnel name and contacts are on the website. Tom Rieder (account manager) seems knowledgeable. We visited 4 reference sites. They use Weedman for fertilization / weed control (columbus-north.weedmanusa.com). One variety at PPV will spread seeds every year. Recommend removal of that variety in the mulch beds. Must pull foxtail by hand. PPV Landscaping Community Meeting – September 19, 2016

4. Too much mulch! Breeds fungus, prevents natural decay. Some areas have 5 inches or more. Experts say 2 inches is fine. New contract calls for 1 inch additional mulch. At some point, we need to remove some old mulch. “Hold the mulch!” PPV Landscaping Community Meeting – September 19, 2016
