Select Text Select (highlight) text in order to do something with it
Mini toolbar appears when you select text Select in the typing area; mouse pointer is an I-beam Select from the selection bar; mouse pointer is a white arrow

Edit Documents Add text Delete text Replace text
Position insertion point and start typing Delete text Position point and press Backspace or Delete Or, select block of text and tap Delete Replace text Select block of text and type new text in its place

Spelling & Grammar Checker
If AutoCorrect doesn’t fix a typo, the Spelling & Grammar Checker comes to the rescue! Red squiggly underline indicates possible misspelling Blue squiggly underline means possible grammar or contextual error Tip! Not every misspelling is caught—be sure to proofread!

Undo and Redo Back out of a catastrophe by clicking Undo
Change your mind? Redo what you undid Undo Redo Tip! You cannot undo all actions, such as saving a document or selecting text.

Items cut or copied are temporarily stored in the Clipboard
Cut, Copy, and Paste Cut: Removes data Copy: Copies data to a new location Paste: Use together with Cut or Copy to place the last item cut/copied at the insertion point Items cut or copied are temporarily stored in the Clipboard

Find and Replace Text Word locates terms entered in the Navigation pane Find this term . . . . . . and replace with this term
