“People have a unique blend of intelligence” (ibid:45)
Howard Gardner Kolene Holsopple

Background Howard Gardner was born on July 11, 1943.
He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Gardner’s main focus was the multiple intelligences theory. His perspective was developmental.

Major Research Howard formed a list of eight intelligences including:
Linguistic Logical-mathematical Musical Bodily/ Kinesthetic Spatial Interpersonal Intrapersonal Naturalistic Howard believes that the standard IQ (Intelligence Quotient) tests do not measure off of the multiple intelligences. He believes this was important because these intelligences vary from person to person and determines what is the most effective way the person can learn.
4
Other: In 1990 Howard Gardner was the first American to receive the University of Louisville Grawmeyer Award in Education. I agree with Gardner’s theories on the multiple intelligences because each individual receives information differently and is stronger in one area than others. Why hasn’t Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences been accepted?
