17. What do you notice about the infant mortality rate in relation to Life Expectancy rate and Literacy Rate? Answers Vary. Japan has lowest infant mortality rate, highest life expectancy rate and literacy rate. All have high literacy rates and fairly high life expectancy rates. 18. What factors could raise or lower the infant mortality rate or the life expectancy rate? Answers vary. Healthcare, better sanitary conditions, better medical facilities, access to food/water, nutrition, education for people, etc.
