The Hebrew definition of these words means: ‘Stop striving’ and ‘to let go and surrender’. Mark 4:39 Jesus calms the storm Here ‘Be still’ literally means ‘Hush’ or ‘Shh’

7. 1 Corinthians 2:16 reminds us that in Christ we are able to know God personally because we have received the ‘mind of Christ’.

Who is God? He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings! He is Omniscient – that is all knowing He is Omnipresent – present in all of the universe He is Omnipotent – that is all powerful He is Holy, Faithful, Infinite without measure, the same yesterday, today and forever and He is Sovereign.

When do I need to remember this?
In the difficult times.

James 1:17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

12. Be still – What changes can you make in your daily life to spend more time ‘being still’ in God’s presence? Know - Do you really know God? Are you in relationship with Him? I am God - Do you need fresh faith to trust Him for today, tomorrow and the future?
