Be Still! The Hebrew definition of these words means: ‘Stop striving’ and ‘to let go and surrender’. Mark 4:39 Jesus calms the storm Here ‘Be still’ literally means ‘Hush’ or ‘Shh’

1 Corinthians 2:16 reminds us that in Christ we are able to know God personally because we have received the ‘mind of Christ’.

Be still, and know, that I AM GOD.

Who is God. He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings
Who is God? He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings! He is Omniscient – that is all knowing He is Omnipresent – present in all of the universe He is Omnipotent – that is all powerful He is Holy, Faithful, Infinite without measure, the same yesterday, today and forever and He is Sovereign.

Be still, and know, that I am God.
When do I need to remember this? In the difficult times. ‘So let go my soul and trust in Him. The waves and winds still know His name’. (‘It is well’ - Bethel Music) In the good times. James 1:17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

Be still – What changes can you make in your daily life to spend more time ‘being still’ in God’s presence? Know - Do you really know God? Are you in relationship with Him? I am God - Do you need fresh faith to trust Him for today, tomorrow and the future?
