WHAT IS NARRATIVE? A narrative is a piece of text which tells a story and, in doing so, entertain of informs the reader or listener.

1. Orientation It tells the audience about who is in the story, when the story is taking place and where the action is happening 2. Complication It sets off a chain of events that influence what will happen in the story 3. Resolution The characters finally sort out the complication.
