Pressure lines for intercourse without condoms
Each student will pick a pressure line out of the bag and try to convince someone to have sex without the use of a condom. Each student will have to respond to at least one pressure line using the following skills: Refusal Skills to prevent unwanted sex and STDs: Clear, specific content Clear and assertive voice Direct eye contact Self-assured posture Be confident with your feeling Be respectful of your partner’s feelings

Pressure & Negotiation Examples
Excuse: Sex doesn’t feel as good with a condom. Response: You are right. It probably would feel better without one but I am not willing to take the chance of getting pregnant or contracting a STD. Excuse: Condoms are unnatural and turn me off. Response: Most people our age use condoms. What can we do to make a condom less of a turn off? Excuse: Why do I need to use condoms if we’re using the pill. Response: So you can protect your health. The pill does not help prevent STDs or HIV. Also birth control pills are not 100% effective against pregnancy so a condom can act as a back up plan.
