2. Fractions and Decimals
Our decimal system is based on powers of ten such as 10, 100, and 1,000.

3. If the denominator of a fraction is a factor of 10, 100, 1000, or any greater power of ten, you can use mental math and place value.

11. Compare and Order Rational Numbers
A rational number is a number that can be expressed as a ratio of two integers written as a fraction, in which the denominator is not zero.
Common fractions, terminating and repeating decimals, percents, and integers are all rational numbers.
