3. What is the GASCSIG? Sustainability Citizenship
Our Aims SCSIG furthers the aims of the GA with regard to the teaching of sustainability and citizenship education through geography. It explores ideas for geography's contribution towards creating and adopting more sustainable lifestyles and active participation in communities.
What we do
The group of teachers, lecturers, researchers and consultants holds three meetings a year and communicates online. Information and ideas are exchanged with different networks and through the geography community.

Our day-to-day experiences as practitioners
We use Cake sales as a ‘catch-all’ term for all charity work in schools. It is the most common and one of most productive in terms of profit:effort.
It must be widely assumed charity efforts and global issues raising are uniformly good things but are they?
