Why?
-Is it that scientific and clinical follow different tracks?
-Is it language translation?
-Is it logistical (e.g., financial, technology, internet access)?
-Is it politics, both professional and national?

5. Provocative questions
Does ACBS have anything to offer Eastern cultures? To some, it just looks like new packaging for Buddhism, which originated in Asia. There is deep philosophy lost in translation.
Do Eastern cultures have anything to offer ACBS? Our philosophy and models might be missing critical elements that are pertinent to specific cultures.
How do we collaborate, without acting evangelical and colonial? While we have useful philosophy and models, we don’t have the answers. We can walk with humility. We can learn from them. We can break down barriers via shared values, breaking down notions of East/West, Expert/Learner, Therapist/Client, etc.
To the audience: How do you want to engage now and after you leave this room? Be bold and take risks.
