9. Selecting the Right Pathway
Which is the most interesting?
Where is the student’s strengths?
What would be the most relevant for the student’s post secondary plans?
Which would help nurture a love of mathematics?
Would more than one pathway be a good option?

10. Post Secondary Institutions
Generally speaking, Science and Engineering Degrees (or transfers), require Pre-Calculus 12.
General admissions (non-science), tend to accept less (i.e. FOM 11 or 12, or PREC 11)

12. FNA or ASK 10, 11 or 12
Students are required to complete 8 credits in Fine Arts and Applied Skills - 4 credits of each, in either Grade 10, 11 or 12

13. Grade 12 Credits Required
A minimum of 16 credits must be at the Grade 12 level.
This includes 4 credits for a Language Arts 12 course, but does not include the 4 credits for Career Life Connections
Eng 12 plus 3 other grade 12 courses = 4 at the 12 level
Most universities require 5

17. What does it do?
Provide high school students with DRASTICALLY REDUCED COLLEGE COSTS 
Provide high school credits towards graduation requirements
Provide a college education with first year technical training
Provide the opportunity to become a journey person faster
Provide opportunities for summer work experience in the industry
Cost ½ to 1/3

Will already one year ahead of classmates ( environment class…1st year of 2 year program at cnc which can become first 2 years of 4 year program at UNBC
If they work in the summer or after school hours can add up and if they get enough hour in they can get it on graduation
The education we provide high school students is the same college education that can ladder directly to further post-secondary training.

18. Provide a chance at a possible $1000 Secondary School Apprentice (SSA) Scholarship
Students receive both high school elective credits and college credits in their program of choice.
If you're moving away from Prince George after the CTC program has finished keep in mind these college credits are transferable to dozens of post-secondary institutions throughout Canada and elsewhere.

19. What happens? Grade11 students fill out application Interview
Attend 1 or 2 semesters at CNC
Grade 12, graduate along side their high school friends in June.
Dogwood Diploma AND
Year technical training certificate from the college
Attend 2 sem may very sometimes it may be over he summer sometime 1 semester one year and then on next year some times both in one year…..

20. They attend CTC in the second semester of Grade 11 or 12 OR
For the 10 month programs students will attend CNC for their entire Grade 12 year (both semesters). For the 5 month programs students will attend CNC for the first semester of Grade 12. All these programs end before June and will enable students to graduate alongside their friends.

21. Who is eligible? enrolled in a public school in district 57 or 91
maintain a C+ or better average and be in good standing at current school
currently in Grade 11 or 12
maintain good work habits with minimal absenteeism
