Lines and Symbols Roof Shape - Steeper pitch means more shadow will be cast Some have larger overhang for shallower pitched roofs to get same shadow Use a solid line for changes in roof shape Lines representing walls are hidden

Lines and Symbols Hip is a line that is drawn to represent the exterior intersection between two roof planes An interior corner is called a valley If same pitch is used on all sides then the line is drawn at 45 degrees
