3 Have you looked at the new game yet?
Let’s app share and take a look at Cat Burglar. Any volunteers? What are we adding NEW to the game. Make an animation! Hide a treasure What are we doing that you ALREADY KNOW HOW to do? You know how to make something move with arrow keys You know how to subtract lives You know how to make a win screen Anything else?

4 How We Create Cat Burglar
We will create a one-player maze game called Cat Burglar. We will add objects from our library. The cat will move when the player presses keys on the keyboard. We will create events that let the cat collect objects, hit obstacles, and unlock a treasure chest. We will animate the blade obstacles to spin as they bounce up and down. We will have four frames, a start frame, a game frame, a win frame, and a lose frame.

5 What Happens in the Game?
We contain the character in the maze How do we keep him in the maze? Add a game event that stops him at the maze wall. What is the enemy of the cat? Spinning blades How do we move the cat through the maze? Arrow keys How does the cat win the game? Collects four keys and hits the jewel. Let’s begin creating Cat Burglar! Lesson 1! Open Clickteam, name the application, change the background color and add the library.

6 Rename Application and Frame
Let’s begin! In our workspace toolbar we right click on “Application 1” and rename it “Cat Burglar” and “Frame 1” to “Game.” Then we will change the background color to a bright yellow. We will click in the blank space underneath our current libraries to add our Cat Burglar library. RGB BOX! Cat Burglar library
