The Forest Magic Fairy This is the process that went into making this sculpture for The Celebration of the Arts 2013

3 Special thanks to B.G. Machine & Welding in this project
Micah Goodall and I designed the metal base for the sculpture. She took it from there and as you can see she really can turn a piece of rolled metal into 3D Art. Special thanks to B.G. Machine & Welding in this project

4 Micah can truly put her plasma cutter to work.

5 The wings were designed
The wings were designed. Micah put her expertise to work on making the frame for the wings. Next I cut and soldered the stained glass into place.

6 designing the armature

7 This is one of my favorite parts. Making the face.

8 Putting the polymer clay onto the armature and securing it to the base.

9 Once the wings were completed, back to Micah to affix the wings to the base rod.

10 wings secured to the base rod

11 Clothes and hair are added to finish off the piece.

12 eyes, ivy, vines, flower hat and shoes are added

13 Braids for the back of her hair

14 And here she is!
