A mild and inconsistent asymmetry of photic driving response is frequently seen in normal individuals. An asymmetry in photic driving response may result from a lesion on the side of lower voltage, but an asymmetry in voltage only, although consistently lateralized, in the absence of other EEG changes can be seen in some normal individuals and should not be viewed as abnormal.19 Source: Focal Nonepileptoform Activity, Atlas of Pediatric EEG Citation: Laoprasert P.
