10 Application Process Completed application and eligibility documents Case managers should work with young people to compile documents First day of Mental Toughness is the latest date to accept documents

11 Group Orientation Introduce applicants to staff Explain program design and philosophy Demonstrate warm, respectful, and positive atmosphere Discuss career opportunities in construction and transferability of soft skills to PSE and other careers

12 Interview Important part of the selection process Chance for staff to build respect All program staff dealing with participants should participate One or two current students and graduates should also participate

13 Mental Toughness Applicants invited to Mental Toughness should have at least one week to make final preparations Programs should send a letter AND speak directly with applicants Applicants not invited to Mental Toughness should also be notified with the same speed and respect
