CPLP Awareness Session Welcome to the CPLP Awareness Session. We typically offer these sessions once a quarter and alternate between live lunch sessions, such as this one, and webinar sessions. All sessions have the same purpose. ©2016 Association for Talent Development (ATD), formerly ASTD.

3 WELCOME!! Introduction How long have you been in talent development?
What capacities have you served? Current role in industry. First off, I would like to welcome you all. My name is Kristin Molina. I have been a practicing member of the talent development community for about 6 years now. I currently work as an Instructional Designer for Florida Blue. I have worked in many different capacity within this profession. For the past year, I have served as a CPLP committee member under the former Chair, Lisa Mills. When Lisa received a promotional opportunity to move out west of the country, I stepped up. I do not have my CPLP, my hope to achieve this within the next 3 years. Later in today’s session, I can describe some of the study material that Lisa and the study group and I have created to support our endeavors. 5 What is the CPLP? Certified Professional in Learning & Performance
Offered by the ATD Certification Institute (ATD CI) Creditability to talent develop professionals The certified professional in learning and performance credential is granted through the ATD Certification Institute. It is the highest, most comprehensive credential within the talent develop industry. The credential is not easily attained and is attached to requirements and demonstration of broad knowledge in the field. 6 CPLP Preferred Employers
Its no wonder why the CPLP is a desired credential by top companies. CPLP allows TD professional an opportunity to display credibility and prove value in an increasingly competitive marketplace. 9 CPLP Requirements 5 years industry experience Pass the Knowledge Exam
Pass the Skills Application Exam (SAE) Recertify every 3 years In order to apply for the CPLP you must 1-3 In order to keep the credential you recertify every 3 years.
