4. The Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick County
On November 2, 2005,
The Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick County
was created as a component fund of the Community Foundation.

5. Purpose
“…to provide opportunities for donors to promote and support programs that enable and empower women in challenging situations to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of those for whom they are responsible.” 

6. Each gift is split between two funds: 20% to quasi-endowment and 80% to pass through
Pass through fund is spent in its entirety each year.
Permanent fund spends 5% each year.

7. Membership
Members commit to a minimum of $1,000 per year for three years for a total of $3,000.
Junior members may join for $500 per year.

8. Recognition Total Over Three Years: Sapphire $3,000
Emerald $3,001 - $4,999
Diamond $5,000 - $9,999
Pink Diamond $10,000 - $19,999
Red Diamond $20,000 or more
