What is this spot on the painting? The painted was damaged twice while hanging in the Louvre Museum in Paris: --acid was thrown on the lower left side --a rock was thrown and damaged the area near the elbow.

Did Leonardo paint this picture of Mona Lisa? This portrait in the Prado Museum in Spain was probably by a student of Leonardo. The painting is so bright because it has been restored to how it looked at the time it was painted. Leonardo’s painting probably had a similar look when painted.
