Reading Expectations - students are expected to be reading on an independent Level C by the end of the year. Reading Strategies – the student will be learning multiple strategies to help them figure out words that they don’t know. Sight words – these are words that are used often in our stories and it is important to know them. Please practice these. I call them snap words because the kids should be able to read and write them in a snap. Comprehension – the students must be able to understand, retell, and answer questions about the story without any prompting.
