1.01 Writing and Reading Numbers

The number system is based on tens and uses 10 digits to write numbers.
One can use the digits 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 0 and a decimal point to write any number. The decimal point separates the whole numbers (to the left of the decimal point) and the decimal numbers (to the right of the decimal point).

Numbers are read from left to right.
