Layer-based image editing
Common programs available: Adobe photoshop Very powerful but very expensive Paint Simple with most basic functions and free on every windows computer GIMP Free to download program with most basic functions and many advanced ones Pixlr Free web-based program that is less powerful than GIMP
6
Layer-based image editing
Advantages: Each element is separate meaning you can’t accidentally change one while editing another Can quickly find and edit one particular element and immediately see how the change looks Can hide elements that you don’t want to change
7
Layer-based image editing
Disadvantages: Steep learning curve Some functions are not intuitive/take time to get used to
8
