Cataract Project
Cataract is the number one cause of blindness in the world.
The project will involve investigating strategies for slowing down or preventing cataract development.
Mouse models of cataract and molecular biology approaches will be used for research.
Glaucoma Project
Glaucoma is the leading cause of irreparable blindness in the world.
The project will investigate the role of susceptibility genes for glaucoma blindness in the disease process.
Human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) techniques and/or animal model of glaucoma will be used for research.
