1 “The Life of a Tent Dweller”
Genesis 12:1-4 and Hebrews 11:9-11

2 The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

3 “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you;
 I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;

4 and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you
and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” So Abram went, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran. Genesis 12:1-4

5 By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. Hebrews 11:9-11

18 Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors,

19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. I Peter 1:17-21
