Abstract Style (unrecognizable subject matter) Emphasis is on the PROCESS – how the work is MADE Emphasis on dynamic, energetic gesture and spontaneous approach Paint is applied explosively – drips splatters, harsh brush strokes, fierce application of media Jackson Pollock is the leader of the Abstract Expressionist Movement
