The Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T)
Parts of national networks for all modes of transport that form a high performance, interconnected and interoperable transport network to service the single EU market with free movement of passengers and goods for sustainable development in the European Union. It consists of: Transport infrastructure components: Road Rail Inland waterway networks Seaports and inland waterway ports Airports Other concepts and systems Motorways of the Sea Traffic management systems Navigation systems

Projects Funded through TEN-T (2007‒2013)
Cyprus participated with proposals and secured funding for the following projects (1 of 2): 2007-CY S “Master Plan for the Ports of Cyprus” 2007-CY S “A feasibility study for establishing regular public transport inter-city links and city links with airports, ports and major tourist destinations that will use the Cyprus Motorway Network”. 2008-EU S “BLUE MED” (pursuing the implementation of a Functional Airspace Block (FAB) in the southeast Mediterranean Area, in accordance with the Single European Sky). EasyWay (Phase 1: 2007-EU P and Phase 2: 2009-EU M), a project for Europe-wide ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems/ Services) deployment on the TEN Road Network. 2009-CY E “Widening to six lanes the motorway section Ayia Varvara-Nicosia”.

Cyprus participated with proposals and secured funding for the following projects (2 of 2): 2012-EU S ANNA - Advanced National Networks for Administrations (Port Community System). 2012-EU P - "ANSPs Interim Deployment Programme Implementation« (Aviation). 2013-EU-50003–P Crocodile (data exchange infrastructure, including access points, along the three main EU road corridors, Baltic-Adriatic, Rhine-Danube and Orient/East-Med). 2012-EU S “LNG Masterplan for Rhine-Main – Danube” (deployment of LNG as an environmentally friendly and efficient fuel in the inland navigation sector). 2013-EU S Poseidon Med (use of LNG as an efficient and effective solution to the problem of emissions abatement in the Mediterranean).

Cyprus secured funding for the following projects: 2014-EU-TM-0673-S “Poseidon Med II” (Cyprus, Greece, Italy). 2014-EU-TM-0563-W “CROCODILE 2” (Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovenia). 2014-EU-TM-0531-S “Fresh Food Corridors” (test and enhance a sustainable inter-modal transport and logistics system for freight movement between Mediterranean and Northern European destinations by rail and sea, Slovenia, France, Italy, Cyprus and Israel). 2014-EU-TM-0279-S “Support to the implementation of ERTMS” (horizontal priority aiming at ensuring interoperability of the EU railway system, All MS).
