4 Planning Together we devised the project and looked at
Why we were doing it What we wanted to achieve What we could and couldn’t do Together we came up with the documents to use: Getting to know me sheets/One page profile explaining who we are Information pack (explains what we do) Reporting sheet (recording what we think)

5 Aim of the GLL scheme: The Good Lives Leaders Scheme will:
give an independent, ‘expert by experience’ view of services for people with learning disabilities help services for people with learning disabilities look at ways to improve what they do and keep doing the good things provide extra value to the checks currently done by the Council, the Care Quality Commission and Healthwatch Leeds

6 What is it about? It is about whether someone is having a good life or not (that is why the GLL’s chose the term Good Life Leaders) GLL are not inspectors – they are checkers

13 The de-brief meeting LCC plans a meeting every quarter with the GLL’s and support organisations and we: Plan the next visits Discuss the visits completed and the GLL report. The provider will have seen and been asked to provide any feedback on the report for the GLL’s which is also discussed. Discuss any changes to the scheme or any concerns Lunch!

GLL’s have visited: 25 providers Which is a total of 85 services in Leeds Revisiting services The changes made include -
