13 Glossary of words to use in statement
Experienced Focused Hardworking Deadline Skills Creativity

14 How organized I had to be in school and college for photography
Mock exam in school Previous grade in photography Experience in photography at school Skills I have gained doing photography as a college course Statement Projects I've done in college Places I’ve been to take images College and school photography trips Where photography could take me in the future

15 Photographers I like Nobuyoshi Araki – I like this photographer because he does something in his work that is different. He takes interesting images. He makes his images seem more exciting. Alexander Rodchenko – I like his work because it unusual and he captures different moments in the day. He does this by using different compositions and angles. This inspires me because it makes me think about the images he takes and makes me think how differently I could take my images to make them more interesting. His work is different to other photographers and I find that amazing. Alec Soth – I really admire his work because his images show a great amount of stories. They are really well taken. I like his series of sleeping by the Mississippi as he took a wide range of images and they showed an amazing story which I found really inspiring and interesting.

16 The skills I have achieved are being independent and working in a team with people. I have also gained camera skills as I can use a DSLR camera on the manual settings to create the images I want. I would like to develop my camera skills and my studio skills so I can work more with different cameras and more lighting styles.

18 Today we looked at the year 2 photography students work and I found it really interesting. They showed us their work and they had a couple of projects that they have done and they had a couple of images for each project they done and they put it in a box to show the university's they want to go to what images they have taken. I asked them a couple of questions like what university's they want to go to and if their images are personal or college work. Also what their favourite images is and what their least favourite image is. They explained their images really well and put a lot of effort putting the images in order and choosing what type of paper to print the images on and how big they wanted the images to be. I really liked Amy’s work from the second year as it was really good and I really liked her idea of textures on the skin. I liked the one where she used acrylic paint to paint over the skin as it shows a really interesting pattern and texture on the skin. Her presentation was great and I really enjoyed it. She could improve on the first set of images. She could be more creative and maybe have more time to shoot more.

19 I have chosen a range of images to put in my online portfolio and I have chosen ones which I have taken throughout the year. I am using my best pictures that are all in focus and all have the correct exposures.

20 Who is your favourite photographer?
My favourite Photographer is Nobuyoshi Araki because he uses different compositions and he has great project and my favourite one is ‘painting flowers’. What do you like about their work? Do you read books? What books? Which is your worst image in your portfolio and why? If you had to pick just one of your images, which one would it be and why? What would you say your photographic style is? What is your dream photographic job? How can you make it happen?
