5. GIWL Online Application Process
Once you are logged into the online application tool you will click on the quote button at the top to begin the quotation and application process. 5

6. GIWL Online Application Process
Next you will need to review the benefit statement with the client. The client must understand the following and meet the product requirements:
American General Life Insurance Company is the insurance company issuing the product
The product is guaranteed issue whole life insurance
The eligible age range for the coverage is years of age
The maximum total amount of GIWL coverage is $25k in total GIWL insurance from American General Life.
You will then click I acknowledge client understands and meets requirements. Then click continue.

Reminder: Product Requirements
Insured must be Owner
Payor can be different than Insured
Foreign Nationals – cannot be an insured and cannot be a payor
Social Security number will be required
Only one policy per Owner/Insured in a twelve-month period
Insured can get no more than $25k total in GI insurance from American General
No replacement or conversion into this product allowed
Payment options include bank draft, credit card, and social security debit card (for initial and recurring); able to set delayed billing and specify date. 6

Highlight premium in the upper right.
Cover the client has to understand the info on the consent and commitment screen.
If they do check I acknowledge client understands and meets requirements then click continue. 8

Walk through application input fields.
Everything is validated at point of sale. (system makes sure app is complete and correct)
If an item is incorrect it will show up as red.
If you save it, it will be housed in your dashboard for future access. (if you have pending clients the dashboard will be the first page that appears when you log in)
At the bottom to send the signature option to the client you will check Send to Client for eSignature then click submit & continue. 9

10. GIWL Online Application Process
Next you will be prompted to confirm your clients address. If it is correct click continue. If not correct it and hit continue. 10

This is an example of the your client will be receiving which will allow them to review the policy application documents and complete the online signatures. 11

12. GIWL confirmation sent to client….
Once they have completed the signature process they will get a subsequent which will notify them the document has been successfully completed. 12

13. GIWL Online Application Process
Also note via your client dashboard you will see the status of your applications. They will either be In Progress, Pending eSignature, Pending Submission or Complete. First three you have the ability to click on the link to take steps towards completing the application process. In Progress will take you back to completing the application. We will discuss the Pending eSignature and Pending Submission next. 13

14. GIWL Online Application Process
If the status of the case is pending eSignature you will have the option of either resending the eSignature or cancelling the eSignature process if something has changed. 14

15. GIWL Online Application Process
If it is pending submission you will be provided two options. Either Automatic Submission of Manual Submission. The Automatic submission option will allow the system to automatically resubmit the application after any connectivity issues have been resolved. Or you can choose the manual submission option with provides you the opportunity to resubmit the application now. 15
